​The Festive Stage opposite the Royal Regalia Building in Bandar Seri Begawan last night was highlighted with the Brunei Muara District level Bermukum Competition. The event was in conjunction with His Majesty's 71st birthday celebration.

Present was Yang Berhormat Awang Naim bin Haji Kamis, Member of the Legislative Council who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Kota Batu. 7 teams took part in the competition organised by the Brunei Muara District in cooperation with Mukun Warisan Budaya Lama Brunei group. The culture of bermukun is also known as 'berdondang' or 'begendang' is still carried out as part of entertainment among senior citizens to enliven a function's festive atmosphere.
