​2 books titled ''Fruits and Flowers'' and ''Happylicious Children Cook Book'' were launched this morning during the launch of the 4-day East-Asian Growth Area, BIMP-EAGA Culture and Food in tourism expo 2017. The expo among others supports and promotes the culture, traditional food as well as the food tourism among BIMP-EAGA countries. The expo, which is being held at the Atrium of the Airport Mall, is open to the public from 8.30 in the morning until 10 in the evening.

The expo was launched by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture Youth and Sports. 18 booths are showcasing food and beauty products as well as clothing from BIMP-EAGA countries. Several activities will also be held during the expo, such as a culinary competition, a demonstration on Bruneian wedding dresses and a motivational session on healthy living. The chairman of the Brunei Darussalam BIMP-EAGA Business Council hopes that the expo can expose and provide opportunities for visitors to know more about the products of BIMP-EAGA.

In an interview with RTB, Mohana Gill, author of the ''Happylicious Children Cook Book'', hopes that the book, which contains various motivational tips on healthy eating for children, will be well received by BIMP-EAGA countries.
