Monaco Ready To Spend On Alexis; Man United Back On Gareth Bale Alert

TOP STORY: Monaco launch shock Alexis move

Arsenal could be in for a shock suitor for Alexis Sanchez as the Sun reports Monaco are ready to make a £45 million offer for the Chile international.

With just one year remaining on his deal at the Emirates, the Gunners have seen interest from Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

But Alexis could instead move to the south of France, with Monaco ready to tempt him by offering £300,000-per-week wages after tax.

After selling Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy, Monaco appear ready to finally fire back with a mega-purchase of their own with funds of £150m raised from sales.

United on red alert for Bale

Manchester United could make a sensational move for Gareth Bale with the Star reporting that Real Madrid are prepared to let the Wales international leave.

The former Tottenham star could soon become surplus to requirements, as Zinedine Zidane hopes to add Monaco super-talent Kylian Mbappe and would rather not have four galacticos competing for three spots up front.

While Bale is happy in Madrid, the distinct prospect of a lack of first-team football -- especially with Wales still hoping for a place at next summer's World Cup -- could make the 28-year-old change his mind and return to the Premier League.

Spurs eye Simeone as first summer signing

Tottenham have sat patiently this summer, refusing to spend while their rivals have splashed the cash, hoping for continuity and natural progress from their youthful squad.

Spurs may finally make their move now though, with the Mirror reporting that striker Giovanni Simeone, son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, is a target after he scored 12 Serie A goals with Genoa last term.

Crystal Palace, Fiorentina and Torino are also interested, with Simeone inspiring the Grifone to down Juventus in one contest.

An additional move could gather pace for Max Meyer, with Spurs keen to reignite talks now that the Schalke star has just one year left on his contact.

Negotiations took place last summer, but the 21-year-old would have cost £30m. Spurs now sense a bargain and may move late in the window to aid Mauricio Pochettino's efforts to help deliver a title.

Juve eye Garay from Valencia

Juventus are looking to sign Ezequiel Garay from Valencia, reports Tuttosport, in a bid to replace Leonardo Bonucci, who joined AC Milan.

The Bianconeri also want Los Che right-back Joao Cancelo with the La Liga club insisting on midfielder Mario Lemina in return.

But the Italian press believe the Old Lady have other targets too, namely: Schalke's Leon Goretzka or Real Madrid maestro, and former Inter starlet, Mateo Kovacic.

Tap-ins

- West Ham will push to sign Lamine Kone, but Sunderland want £20m, reports the Mirror, which could scupper the move.

The dominant centre-back's arrival could spell an exit for Winston Reid, with the New Zealand international linked with a move to Everton.

- Former Southampton centre-back Martin Caceres is set to return to football with Hellas Verona, though Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio believes Lazio are at the centre of the deal.

The Biancocelesti could sign the Uruguayan, who featured for several years with Juventus, for €5m in January or next summer to boost their back line.
