​The Ministry of Religious Affairs held a religious ceremony in conjunction with the Sighting the New Month of Zulhijah of 1438 Hijrah. The ceremony took place at the Dewan Multaqa, the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The programme included the reading of Al-Quran by Awang Haji Ashizal bin Zainal Abidin, the Runner-up of the National Youth Quran Reading Musabaqah, the Tahlil and Doa Selamat, followed by the mass Maghrib prayer. Present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Shari'e Judge of the Shari'ah Court, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom Bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Education and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
