Oratory can act as a platform to enhance skills in speaking. Hence, the final of National Oratory competition for Primary, Secondary and colleges, and Sixth Form Centre schools has become a battlefield to present speeches from the competing participants.

 

Dayang Hidayatul Marshanda Arabella binti Haji Hasnan from Chung Hwa Middle school, Bandar Seri Begawan emerged as the chanpion in the competition for Primary School category with her oratory entitled 'Haji dan Umrah'. Meanwhile, for the Secondary School and colleges category was won by Dayangku Nuril Aujee Syafiqah binti Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College with her oratory entitled 'cabaran demi mendapatkan Haji yang Mabrur'. While, Awang Muhammad Haziq Haikal bin Hadnani from Sayyidina Ali Secondary School with his oratory entitled, 'Becoming Allah's Guest Repeatly: A Sign Of Iman Or A Show Of Status', won in the Sixth Form centre category.

 

Prizes were presented by Retired Captain Dato Paduka Abdul Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence. Also present was Awang Haji Muhammad Suffian Bin Haji Bungsu, Director of Radio Televisyen Brunei.
