The Islamic Religious Council hereby announces that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the appointment of the following persons as members of the Brunei Darussalam Islamic Religious Council according to Section 13 of the Islamic Religious Council and Kadis Court Act, Chapter 77 for a 3-year period starting from the 1st of August 2017 until the 31st of July 2020. They are:

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, as the President of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Dipertua of Adat Istiadat Negara, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah, Minister of Development, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture Youth and Sports; as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doktor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State MUFTI, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Hayati binti Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh, the Attorney General, as Ex-Officio Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Syari'e Judge as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Amat Arif Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Kifrawi bin Dato Paduka Haji Kifli, the Chief Justice, as member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Begawan Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Umar, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama Doktor Haji Awang Mohd Jamil Al-Sufri bin Begawan Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Umar, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Doktor Ustaz Haji Awang Mohd Zain bin Haji Serudin, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Hamid bin Bakal, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doktor Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya bin Haji Ibrahim, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, as the Vice President of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin, the Shari'ah Appeals Court Judge, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Raja Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Mohd Ali bin Haji Mohd Daud, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Metussin bin Haji Baki, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, the Commissioner of Police, as Ex-Officio Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Arif Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Tasim bin Haji Akim, permanent panellist of the Shari'ah Appeals Court Judges, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain@Maidin, Deputy State Mufti, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council;

- Yang Mulia Awang Haji Dinnie bin Haji Abdullah, Senior Istinbat Officer Group 2, as Member of the Islamic Religious Council.
