KUALA LUMPUR

 

​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council this afternoon watched the final of the Women's Pairs lawn bowling tournament at the Padang Kebangsaan Lawn Bowling Centre in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

The national team represented by Esmawandy binti Brahim and Dayangku Nurul Nabilah binti Pengiran Mohd Salleh Chuchu, started out strong but was soon outpaced by host team Malaysia by 8 - 15 by ends 15.  The Malaysian team continued to widen the gap and by ends 17, Brunei Darussalam settled for the silver medal after being beaten by the host team 10-17.

 

The President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic presented the medals to the winners.  Gold went to Malaysia, followed by Brunei Darussalam with silver medal and the Philippines, bronze.
