For people visiting Makkah Al-Mukarramah on normal days, during umrah or the haj season, the Museum of the Two Holy Mosques is a place to be visited. The complex showcases items related to the design or architecture of the Masjidil Haram and Masjid Nabawi. The ruler of Saudi Arabia is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The museum is a very interesting place to visit, according to many visitors, including members of the media on a special visit programme as guests of the Saudi government. The facility not only provides visitors with information on the architectural designs of the Masjidil Haram and Masjid Nabawi but also the opportunity to view personally the materials used at the two holy mosques.
They were used on the pulpit of Masjid Nabawi, the Door of Kaabah and its key, the Well of Zamzam, the clock showing prayer times and others. Although the museum is small, the items it showcases are priceless and can deeply touch the heart or feelings of the people who see them. Certainly a visit to the complex is something not to be missed by those who are able to visit Saudi Arabia, especially Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
