Every knowledge and skills earned at schools and institutions should be treated not as a separate entity, but seen as a building block towards a complete human capital. It also acts as a preparation for adulthood and the working world, as graduates will play a major role in developing the nation's socio-economy. This was stated by the Ministry of Education this afternoon at the Kolej International Graduate Studies, IGS Convocation Ceremony in Bridex, Jerudong.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman also reminded the graduates to utilise their skills wisely, and should always improve their skills or learn new skills that are not taught in college. Yang Berhormat Pehin added that graduates should step forward as a human capital that is needed by the nation, by having the right and suitable knowledge, being physically active, capable of communicating, creative and innovative, apart from being able to work as a team effectively, and without forgetting one's root as a citizen of Brunei Darussalam. The Minister of Education reiterated that every graduate in general should be dynamic and have the tenacity to overcome life, and act in line with the change of time that is filled with challenges and demands. Graduates should also become a part of the solution in any of the government's effort to develop the country, and make efforts to contribute towards the nation sincerely and honestly.
