​The Royal birthday cycling Recreation 2017, yesterday  was further highlighted with the participation of 71 cyclists for the 71-kilometre event. Participants began cycling in the early hours.

The flag off was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The 71 kilometre route passed through a number of main roads and highways in the Brunei Muara district. The participants comprise members of cycling clubs from the four districts. The event began and ended at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien.
