 ​The Brunei Association of Japan Alumni, BAJA and Asia Japan Alumni, ASJA organised a Symposium with the theme: "ASEAN-Japan Trade Opportunities - Tapping into the Halal Market" yesterday.

 

Aside from sharing experiences particularly from Brunei's perspective in the development of its halal industry, the symposium was also to explore potential areas of collaboration among ASEAN and Japan in the area of Halal industry. The symposium was held at The Centrepoint Hotel, Gadong. It was attended by about 200 participants from ASEAN Countries, Japan-linked organization and Halal related Brunei companies. The Forum among other discussed halal policies and certification such as tourism, pharmaceutical and healthcare. It also discussed on challenges and opportunities of halal market in ASEAN countries and Japan.
