In conjunction with the golden jubilee celebration of the establishment of the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Tutong, a 50-Time Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony was held recently.

The event was officiated by Ustaz Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of Mosque Affairs from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Also present were Awang Hassan bin Amat, Tutong District Religious Head Officer; Awang Haji Masri bin Haji Mohammad, Tutong District Mosque Affairs Officer, and ACP (Rtd) Haji Mohd Murad bin Haji Abdul Hadi, Takmir Committee Advisor of Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque.

The event commenced with mass Maghrib prayer followed by Sunnat Hajat prayer. Following that was a recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah led by Awang Sahibol Omar bin Haji Yusof, Imam of Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque. A recitation of Doa Selamat led by Mosque Affairs Officer, Awang Muhd Fauzi bin Haji Anuar, concluded the event.

Several activities such as cleaning campaign and charity walkathon are lined up in commemoration of the celebration. The highlight of the programme will be held in late August.
