​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to His Excellency Moon Jae-In, President of the Republic of Korea, the Government and people of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of the National Foundation Day.

In the message, His Majesty expressed that Brunei Darussalam attached great importance to its relations with the Republic of Korea and looked forward to further strengthening the long-standing and valuable bilateral ties enjoyed by the two countries. His Majesty also expressed his appreciation for the Republic of Korea's continued support in ASEAN and in particular its community-building efforts, and hope to work closely with His Excellency in enhancing the regional partnership as the Country Coordinator for ASEAN-Republic of Korea Dialogue Relations next year. In ending the message, His Majesty conveyed his kindness regards and best wishes for His Excellency's good health and happiness, as well as for the continues progress and prosperity of the people of the Republic Korea.
