The Brunei Darussalam Girls Guides Association yesterday afternoon held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. The ceremony took place at the Brunei Darussalam Girls Guides Association Headquarters in Kampong Anggerek Desa.

30 of the association's young leaders from the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB took part in the Khatam Al-Quran. Present were Dayang Hajah Siti Hafsah binti Haji Abdul Halim, Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association and Dayang Hajah Viviyanti binti Haji Ali, the association's Deputy Chief Commissioner. The ceremony continued with the reading of special Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam.
