Further investigation showed that the suspect has an arrest record by the Narcotics Control Bureau on suspicion of drug abuse, as well as had been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. Further investigation has been made and information obtained pertaining to the discovery of the two bodies which were left at separate locations in Brunei Darussalam. The bodies were found on the 12th of October at the Bukit Panggal area in Tutong and Kampong Dadap, Kilanas. Currently, the police is obtaining information on the case's motif and category. The police are still investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the second case involved a male permanent resident impersonating a police inspector.
