SERIA, KUALA BELAIT

The Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) is presenting a new themed exhibition called 'Mathamazing.'
Starting May 7, OGDC will play host to a range of intriguing and interactive experiences as part of the Mathamazing travelling exhibition, created by Questacon - The National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra. The display of this exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE).

The objective of the exhibition is to support the numeracy programme of the Ministry of Education, OGDC said in a statement.

The centre is inviting the public to experience the exciting event.

OGDC said, "Learning is made fun and interactive at Mathamazing, which you can enjoy with your family and friends. Visitors can use simple switches to learn about binary numbers, use angles and trigonometry to measure distances or explore statistics by entering their hair colour, age or even pet preference.

"The exhibition can act as a tool for teaching mathematics, especially for students* at both secondary and primary levels. Visitors can also multiply numbers with a monkey, experience a giant step maze and build a self-supporting arch."

"Suitable for ages 12 and up, Mathamazing is a collection of 22 bright and colourful hands-on exhibits and five Mega Maths Puzzles that will engage the mind and body in the world of mathematics. The mix of science, maths and hands on fun in the exhibition has something for every visitor," said Dayang Nur Karnina binti Karim, head of exhibition.
