The one kampung one product sales project is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs in marketing the products so that it is progressive and sustainable. It is inline with the efforts towards achieving its objective in boosting the activities of the Mukim and Village Consultative Councils. Apart from that, it is also to help the community enhance well-being and socio-economy at the grassroots level through economic activities involving the local community. This morning, a company selling the One Village One Product items was officially opened at the Brunei International Airport.

The opening of Syarikat Seri Nova Food Industries was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs. Present were diplomatic envoys and high commissioners to the country as well as members of the Legislative Council. Also present were Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs; Awang Haji Idris bin Haji Mohd Ali and Awang Haji Muhammad Sunadi bin Haji Buntar, the Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as Doctor Haji Abd Manaf Bin Haji Metussin, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary resources and Tourism.

Syarikat Seri Nova Food Industries was established under the 'Brunei Pavilion' initiative introduced by the Department of Civil Aviation to encourage businesses to promote and sell the products of local entrepreneurs. The company sells 1 Kampung 1 Product food and handicraft products and food products produced by local private companies under the micro, small and medium enterprise category.
