A fireworks display in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne will be held this Sunday, the 5th of November at the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas in Bandar Seri Begawan starting from 7.45 in the evening. In its press release issued today, the celebration's Fireworks Display Committee welcomes all citizens and residents in the country to attend and witness the event. The fireworks display is sponsored by the Group of Brunei Darussalam Businessmen.

As a safety measure, the committee would like to inform the public not to use the pedestrian bridge which connects Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas to the Batu Satu area while installation works for the fireworks are being carried out in the area. Members of the public, including water taxi operators, are also advised to stay 250 meters clear of the said area throughout the fireworks display. Road users are also urged to give their cooperation and practice tolerance with other road users for the well-being of all. The public is also urged to maintain cleanliness and make use of the rubbish bins provided.
