His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam this afternoon received in audience His Excellency Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore and Coordinating Minister for National Security. The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman. During the audience, His Majesty and His Excellency discussed bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore, as well as exchanged views on regional and international matters. Accompanying His Excellency were Her Excellency Grace Fu Hai Yien, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth of the Republic of Singapore; His Excellency Dato Paduka Seri Ng Chee Meng, Minister for Education (School) and Second Minister for Transport; His Excellency Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defence; His Excellency Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information and Senior Minister of State for Education, His Excellency Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State of Trade and Industry and Senior Minister of State for National Development; Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development; and His Excellency Lim Hong Huai, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam.

His Excellency Teo Chee Hean is in Brunei Darussalam as Head of the Singapore Delegation for a working visit under Singapore's Young Leaders' Programme, which is held in this country from yesterday until tomorrow.

Also present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd. Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Roselan bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.
