Yesterday afternoon, the Knowledge Convention Seminar continued on the second day with the presentation on Dakwah and Eminence AND Grassroots Leadership. The seminar was held at the Plenary Hall and Musyawarah Hall of the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

 

In dakwah and eminence field, Doctor Haji Harapandi Dahri, Assistant Senior Professor of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPUSB presented a working paper titled, "Dakwah dan Syiar Al-Islam". The working paper explained that dakwah and eminence are two practices that can make a person to be closer to Allah Subhanahu Wataala. Meanwhile the working paper titled, "Pimpinan Cemerlang Menjana Ummatan Wasata: 50 Tahun Syiar Islam Terus Dijulang" used library methodology and delivered by descriptive and narrative for meticulous concept experience of Ummatan Wasata. A research found that the Wasatiyyah concept has long been applied in the official government system. The working paper was delivered by Doctor Lily Suzana binti Haji Shamsu, Dean of Usuluddin Faculty of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, UNISSA.

 

Meanwhile in grassroots leadership field, working paper titled, "Kepimpinan Akar Umbi" was presented by Professor Doctor Haji Mahayudin bin Haji Yahaya, Professor of Islamic Civilization of the Islamic Development Management Faculty, UNISSA focused on the leadership of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam and his companions through charter madinah; characteristics of Islamic leadership; the responsibility of leader to the community and country. Doctor Ahmad Yunos bin Kassim, Assistant Senior Professor of the Education Faculty, KUPUSB presented the working paper entitled, "Kepimpinan Akar Umbi Berteraskan Islam dalam Merealisasikan Wawasan Brunei 2035" explained the leadership concept from the Islamic perspective based on the caliph concept. The seminar is held to give knowledge and understanding to the target group by sub theme provided by enhancing the quality of religious service in various fields among officers and participants.
