His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this morning held a meeting with His Excellency Tran Dai Quang, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The meeting was held at Da Nang Administrative Office.

During the meeting, His Majesty and His Excellency exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual concern and also discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries. Present were His Excellency Dao Viet Trung, Chairman of the Presidential Office; and His Excellency Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Also present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd. Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; and His Excellency Pengiran Haji Sahari bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
