In the afternoon, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. The bilateral meeting was held at the Philippines International Convention Center (PICC), Manila.

During the bilateral meeting, His Majesty and His Excellency the Prime Minister of Japan discussed current matters and exchanged views on regional and international concerns including cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Japan. Present at the Meeting was Yang Behormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
