Various issues of mutual interest, as well as measures to further strengthen relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia, were among the matters that were discussed during a visit by a delegation from the Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat, DPR or the House of Representatives, Republic of Indonesia to the Department of Councils of States. The visit took place this morning at the Dewan Majlis building.
The delegation, led by Yang Berhormat Puan Rieke Diah Pitaloka, made the goodwill visit to Yang DiMuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers' Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council. Apart from discussing methods to strengthen relations, the dialogue session also touched on Indonesian workers in the country, as well as the measures to improve their welfare and well-being. At this session, the Republic of Indonesia's government, through the House of Representatives, expressed their highest appreciation towards His Majesty's government for the cooperation in employing Indonesian manpower. Among those in attendance were the Members of the Legislative Council.
