The Nyirik Culinary Challenge organised by Eco Kampung and Eco Ponies Garden, Lamunin Tutong with the cooperation of Brunei Hotel, Royal Brunei Catering and Hotel Rizqun International continued to held at the Tamu Muhibbah Aneka Selera in Bangar town, Temburong, yesterrday morning.

 

 

 

The challenge is one of the events to enliven the Brunei December Festival 2017. The objective of the challenge is to maintain and introduce traditional food to the young generation. A competition on the making of several traditional delicacies and cakes such as selurut, wajid temburong, pulut panggang, tumpi and talam ubi sagu was also held. On hand to present the prizes was Awang Haji Mohammad Zamree bin Haji Junaidi, Director of Tourism Development Department at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. According to Dayang Hajah Siti Zaleha binti Haji Kaprawi, Co-Founder of Eco Village Enterprise, the culinary challenge will be held every Sunday and the next one will be held in the Belait district while in the Brunei-Muara District will be on the 31st of December. The panel judges are from Royal Brunei Catering, Brunei Hotel and Rizqun International Hotel.
