Launching Of IBantu Solat Mobile Application

In providing facilities for patients to perform the solat or prayer correctly while being indisposed according to the patients' condition aside from introducing to patients approaches to cure physical ailments through spiritual cleansing measures, a mobile application has been created called iBantu Solat. This morning, the launching ceremony of the iBantu Solat mobile application was held at the Women's and Children's Centre in the capital.

 

The launch was officiated by Awang Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Helath. Awang Haji Zulkifli bin Panglima Asgar Dato Paduka Haji Abdullah, Acting Deputy permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs as the Co-Chairman, in his speech explained that the Patient Prayer Assistance Service at government hospitals has progressed forth with the success of the digital application three years after its introduction. It was created in accordance to the current requirements and is hoped to be used by not only patients but also the public wishing to assist their family members and relations in performing the solat.

 

 The function proceeded with the presentation of Publications and Tayammum or waterless ablution sand for the use of patients by Awang Haji Zulkifli to Awang Haji Md Khairul bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pendekar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Haji Hasrin, Chief Executive Officer of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital. The publications are to be used by government hospitals nationwide.

 

 The iBantu Solat mobile application was created to expand the existing services and at the same time help patients in performing the five times daily fardhu prayer including ablution and waterless ablution while indisposed in the form of audio, visual and text. The payer times for the four districts as well as alarm mode is also provided aside from prayer recitations and postures, daily practices, supplications and direction of the qibla as long as the GPS is functioning. The mobile application is a continuation of the Patient Prayer Assistance Service Pioneer Study carried out for a 5-month period at government hospitals last year. The public can download the application through Google Play for Android users and App Store for iOS users.
