BERAKAS, BRUNEI-MUARA

Tabuan 'A' remained top of the NFABD Under-16 Youth League after chalking their third successive victory in a 2-0 win over Perda at the NFABD pitch last weekend.

Md Khoirunnaas goal in the 33rd minute and Md Syazareel Daniel's strike in the 56th minute ensured the Tabuan side a flawless start in the youth league.

Tabuan 'A' also kept their third clean sheet in the row and their best defensive record was also accompanied as the highest scoring team with 11 goals in the league.

On the opposite scale, Perda slipped to seventh in the table as a consequence of the defeat.

However, the early pacesetters are closely followed by unbeaten sides Rimbastar and Tabuan 'B' who tasted narrow wins in their latest matches.

Rimbastar edged P.I.P 1-0 while Tabuan 'B' also defeated Kasuka FC by the same score-line.

Al Idrus Junior consolidated fourth place after beating basement dwellers Kilanas FC Junior with Mohd Dzulafiq bin Noorisham bagging a brace in a four-minute spell with Mohd Abdul Hajib bin Toneey adding gloss to the win.

Meanwhile, on the bottom half of the table, Besa FC and BTC Redstar are still in search of their first win of the campaign following a 2-2 draw at the Menglait Football Field.

Besa FC's Awangku Mohd Abdul Qayyum netted in the first minute but Muhammad Aqil Asnawi struck twice in the 16th and 30th minute to give BTC Redstar a 2-1 lead.

Mohammad Azinur Rashiman rescued a point for Besa FC in the 50th minute but it was a result that neither side wanted.
