Brunei Cambridge Gce 'As' & 'A' Level October/November 2017 Examinations Results

The achievement of candidates in obtaining at least One, Two and Three 'A' levels in the Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E. 'A' Level Examination in October and November last year has increased from the previous year. The achievement was summarized by the Examination Department, Ministry of Education during the release of the October/November 2017 Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E. 'AS' and 'A' Level examinations results today.

 

From One Thousand 9 hundred and 3 candidates who sat for the examination, One Thousand 7 hundred and 74 or 93 point 2-2 percent achieved at least 1 'A' level.  The achievement has increased by 2 point 0-1 percent compared to 2016. Candidates who obtained at least 2 'A' levels are 82 point 1-3 percent with an increase of 2 point 3-7 percent, of which the school's candidate's achievement is 87 point 3-1 percent. One Thousand 2 hundred and 35 candidates or 64 point 9 percent obtained at least 3 'A' levels. The achievement has increased by 1 point 1-5 percent compared to 2016.  For the school's candidates achievement is 70 point 0-6 percent. 179 candidates or 9 point 4-1 percent have achieved grade 'A' in 2 to 4 subjects.  The achievement has increased by 2 point 0-4 percent compared to 2016.

 

Overall, 12 subjects have shown improvement between 0 point 3-8 percent and 29 point 0-7 percent out of the candidates' achievement in 2016.  The subjects include; Syariah, Usuluddin, English Language, Malay Language, Food Studies, History, Computer Science, Thinking Skills, Psychology, Sociology, Biology and Applied ICT.  While 3 other subjects which have shown a similar achievement as in 2016, which is 100 percent are Further Mathematics, Physical Education and Design and Technology.

 

Meanwhile, from One Thousand 2 hundred and 72 candidates who sat for the AS level examination, One Thousand 2 hundred and 4 candidates or 94 point 6-5 percent have obtained at least 1 subject with an improvement of 1 point 2-0 percent. 8 hundred and 78 candidates or 69 point 0-3 percent have obtained at least 2 subjects for 'AS' level with an improvement of 1 point 2-9 percent.

 

Overall, a total of One hundred and 5 candidates or 8 point 2-5 percent have achieved grade 'A' in at least two subjects.  The achievement has increased by 2 point 0-5 percent compared to 2016.

 

Students who have sat for the examination can obtain their result slip from the respective schools. Private candidates are required to obtain their result slips from the Examination Department during office hours.

 

For candidates who wish to improve their Brunei-Cambridge GCE 'AS' and 'A' Level examinations results, registration for May/June 2018 is still open and will be closed on the 15th of next month. Candidates also need to pay attention to the registration closing date for students who have registered at the school and refer to their respective school teachers.
