The theme for Brunei Darussalam's 34th National Day celebration is "Menjayakan Wawasan Negara" or Accomplishing the National Vision. The theme stresses that every citizens and residents as well as sectors involved in the development of the nation has their own role in making the Wawasan Brunei 2035 a success. Meanwhile, the 34th National Day logo portrays a number of elements that bears the meaning of each of the agents, namely human resource, natural resource and education system that play the role of the country's development agenda towards achieving Wawasan Brunei 2035.

The idea for the Logo came from the locally-grown Simpur Flower that has 7 petals, indicating 7 Brunei Malay races united in playing the role of accomplishing the Nation's Vision. Two knots facing outwards means seven indigenous races as the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam living in harmony together making the vision a success. The Simpur flower is surrounded by a circle that portrays the importance of the country being on par with other nations. The logo also shows the importance of protecting the national identity in the era of global challenges. The crest in the middle and on top of the Logo, held up by the petals and the star, symbolises the country's development agenda based on the Malay Islamic Monarchy concept. Survival of the Bruneian race and nation hinges on the efforts of the people towards the accomplishment of Wawasan Negara.

The jointed two petals defines strong relationships in the country's development agenda. The relationships include relations between the Monarch and the People, the Government and the Private Sector, Leaders and the People; the Young and Old Generations, Teachers and Students and others. The importance of knowledge and skills in achieving the nation's vision is also illustrated through the logo. The same goes with the link between religious faith and practices in going through life. The stars within the flower portrays that the Wawasan Negara 2035 will become the future of the continuing generation who are successful and sustainable. The number 34 written in roman and jawi writings means that the country has reached 34 years of age as an independent and sovereign nation.
