BT Forwarding Enters Semi-Finals in Inter Company Netball Tournament

BERAKAS, BRUNEI-MUARA

Undefeated B.T Forwarding looked on course in retaining their title after becoming the first team to book a berth in the semi-finals in the Inter Company Netball Tournament at the Public Works Department Sports Complex.

The reigning holders completed top of Group 'A' in merciless form with eight straight wins and will now meet the runners-up of Group 'B' this weekend for a place in the final.

The group winners are joined by DST in the last four whose only loss came against B.T Forwarding in a potential decider for finishing top of the group.

B.T Forwarding beat JPMC 9-4 in a match which gave second-place chasing DST the upper hand before wrapping up their group campaign with a 10-2 whipping over BIBD.

The holders never gave BIBD a look-in in the match with goal attack Nurafiqah Samat again in devastating form terrorising the defence with a succession of baskets.

The national player developed a strong chemistry with goal shooter Norrashafizah Zanuidi possessing the vision to monitor her partner's movement with fine passes.

DST edged closer to qualification with a 5-2 win over BIBD before completing the group with a 11-1 win over Darussalam Assets having only played JPMC before the penultimate fixture of last night's session.

BT Forwarding team captain Nurafiqah Samat was modest in her team's assault to the last four counting themselves as fortunate to be in the right goal-scoring positions.

Nurafiqah commended the JPMC team describing their performance as in 'another level' with their key players returning for the match.

Meanwhile, current group leaders Standard Chartered Bank and second-placed Baiduri Bank are both in pole positions from Group 'B' to secure a spot in the semifinals.
