SOASCIS Signed an MoU with Turkish University

The Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies (SOASCIS) under Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Rumi Centre for the Study of Civilisations under the Necmettin Erbakan University from Konya, Turkey.

 

Signing on behalf of UBD was Professor Datuk Dr. Osman Bakar, Director of SOASCIS, witnessed by Dayang Rubiah binti Haji Yacub, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Corporate and Administration) of UBD, while signing on behalf of Necmettin Erbakan University was Dr. Bilal Kuspinar, Head of the Department of Philosophy under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Director of the International Rumi Centre for the Study of Civilisations at Necmettin Erbakan University, witnessed by Professor Muzaffer Seker, Rector of Necmettin Erbakan University.

 

The objective of the MoU is to create collaborations which include cooperation in fundamental research and higher education of mutual interest to both institutions such as academic visits of students, postdoctoral fellows as well as joint research projects and publications and exchanges of publications and information in the field of policy studies.
