The issue of home-based businesses was also deliberated upon in this morning's session. In response to the query raised by Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs said various efforts is being carried out to assist in raising the people's standard of living, among them the One Village One Product activity.

Yang Berhormat said that the home based business concept is an excellent initiative to increase the family's income. From the aspect of using the home to conduct business, they can do so provided that the business does not involve any renovations to the home and that the business has been registered to the Registration of Companies and Business Names, ROCBN.
