Presenting the Ministry's proposed budget, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports also shared the Ministry's strategies and 4K programmes namely in Youth, Community, Culture and Sports. Yang Berhormat said the Ministry sees the 4K programmes and activities as a future investment for the country, adding that all target groups under the Ministry will be looked at from their best angle, so they can also contribute in developing the nation.

The first area is on Youth. Yang Berhormat said in the youth sector, the Ministry will continue to evaluate policies on the effectiveness of programmes and activities conducted in terms of their resiliency and relevancy especially to youths. This includes objectively evaluating the effectiveness and success of the PKBN in producing excellent Bruneian youths. The second area, which is on Community, focuses on efforts to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are cared for together. Here, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports plays a main role as the co-leader in the Social Security strategy of Wawasan Brunei 20-35. The third area is on Culture. The unique Bruneian culture is a treasure that must be protected and preserved as the country's heritage and identity. Yang Berhormat said that this needs to be practised all throughout life by all levels of the community so it can become a way of living for our children and the future generation, adding that this sector can also assist in economic development. The last area is on Sports. The Ministry together with the other government agencies as well as National Sports Associations is leading efforts to implement the National Sports Policy towards a way of life which is smart, healthy and united through sports for the community and high prestige sports.
