BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
Several companies provide services on the 3-Territories route linking Brunei Darussalam with Sabah in Malaysia, and Pontianak in Kalimantan-Indonesia. The service resulted from the signing of an agreement at the BIMP-EAGA level. This was stated by the Minister of Communications in reply to a query by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Rambli bin Haji Lahit.
The Minister said two Brunei Darussalam companies and two Indonesian companies operate on the BSB-Pontianak route, while two other companies from Sabah operate on the Kota Kinabalu-Bandar Seri Begawan route. Under a BIMP-EAGA Agreement, Brunei Darussalam has designated several places for passengers to board and alight the buses. In Bandar Seri Begawan, a number of parking places have been designated and identified. When they arrive and before they return home, passengers and buses from the neighboring states will rest and spend the night at the said places under arrangements made by the related bus companies.
