Prize Presentation Ceremony Of The Brunei Ladies Open Golf Tournament

Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, yesterday afternoon attended the Prize Presentation Ceremony of the Brunei Ladies Open Golf Tournament. The tournament is Tri-Sanctioned by the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association, KLPGA, China Ladies Professional Golf Association, CLPGA, and the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association. The function was held at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong.
Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Second Minister of Finance; Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha bin Haji Metasan, President of the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association.
In his welcoming address, the President of the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association, among other things expressed his gratitude for Her Royal Highness presence at the ceremony which is an added value in making Brunei Darussalam as the best golfing destination.
At the ceremony, Her Royal Highness presented the winners Jacket to Miss Kyung Ja Kim, the Executive Director of KLPGA who later put the jacket on the champion of the Brunei Ladies Open Champion for 2018, Hong Ran from Korea with the final score 18 under par. Her Royal Highness then presented the Brunei Ladies Open Champion Trophy to Hong Ran who also received 140 million Korean Won equivalent to 130 thousand US Dollars, presented by Miss Kyung Ja Kim, Executive Director of KLPGA.
Her Royal Highness then received a pasambah from the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association. In the 40 year history of KLPGA, the Brunei Ladies Open is the first tournament to be held in Brunei as part of the KLPGA season's tour.
