In effort to promote a fair and healthy market towards economic development and in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035, the importance of the law should be emphasised. Dayang Heidi Farah Sia binti Abdul Rahman, Acting Director of the Competition and Consumer Affairs, Department of Economic Planning and Development stressed the matter during a Dialogue Session in collaboration with Darussalam Enterprise, DARe.

 

Present were members of the Brunei Malay Chambers and Industry. The session among other things aimed to raise awareness on the dos and dont's for businesses. During the session, a senior officer from the Competition and Consumer Affairs Department, JPKE explained on the three key prohibitions under the Competition Order 2015, namely: Anti-­competitive Agreement; Abuse of Dominant Position and Anti-­competitive Merger. It is also among the efforts to support and create awareness on the benefits and prohibition of Competition Order 2015. Last night's session was held at the Design and Technology Building in Anggerek Desa.
