Muslims were urged to fear Allah the Almighty, in order to be saved from sin and wrongdoing, in yesterday's Friday sermon.
The sermon also encouraged Muslims to nurture the fear of Allah the Almighty, by reading through examples found in the Al-Quran and Hadith (prophetic traditions) about the terrible punishments brought down upon wicked and disbelieving people.
"If an individual has a genuine fear of Allah the Almighty, his heart will surely be moved to do good, to obey the commands of Allah, and to reject all evil and wrongdoings," said Imams in the sermon.
The sermon concluded by defining a true believer as someone living his life in total fear, respect submission and worship for Allah the Almighty.
