26th Brunei Open Swimming Championship​

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Deputy Sultan, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, yesterday afternoon watched the 26th Brunei Open Swimming Championship. The championship took place at Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex Swimming Pool in Berakas.

 

Also present were His Royal Highness' sons and daughter, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman.

 

In the championship, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim represented the ISB Hammerheads in the 100-metre Freestyle and 50-metre Breaststroke categories. In the 50-metre Breaststroke category, Yang Teramat Mulia recorded a time of 54 point 6-3 seconds. Meanwhile, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah represented ISB Hammerheads in the 50-metre Breaststroke category. Yang Teramat Mulia won the gold medal after creating a new record for 7-year-old girls with a time of 1 minute 12 point 5-9 seconds. 13 swimming clubs from the country and abroad took part in the swimming championship, which was organised by the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association and supported by the Youth and Sports Department.
