His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended the Retreat Session of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. The Retreat Session was held at the Windsor Castle.

Upon arrival at King George IV Gate, Windsor Castle, His Majesty was greeted by Mr Duncan Dewar, Castle Superintendent. His Majesty, together with Her Excellency The Right Honourable Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Commonwealth Heads of Government, then proceeded to the Waterloo Chamber for the Retreat Session.

The Retreat Session began with a speech by Her Excellency the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, welcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government to the retreat.

During the Retreat Session, His Majesty and other Commonwealth Heads of Government exchanged views on regional and international strategic issues of common interest. After the Retreat Session, the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting was then officially closed.
