Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB has a long running history and valuable heritage for Brunei Darussalam. Peace that has been achieved by Brunei Darussalam today roots from the uniqueness and special concept of MIB. Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Yang DiPertua of Adat Istiadat Negara delivered the sabda during an MIB Forum yesterday morning at the Dewan Raya of Radio Televisyen Brunei in the capital.

 Yang Amat Mulia in his sabda said he was pleased that organisers had taken the initiative to promote the concept of Malay Islamic Monarchy or MIB by organising the forum which was held in Mandarin. Yang Amat Mulia added that this not only helps the Chinese local citizens and residents but also enables foreign investors and residents from abroad who live here to together understand and assimilate the concept of MIB. Yang Amat Mulia further said that MIB is the pillar for the community, the foundation for nation's solidarity and the core of governance in Brunei Darussalam.

 Also present was Her Excellency Yang Jian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam; Doctor Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Rahman, President of the Brunei-China Friendship Association, BCFA as Chairman of the function, and Awang Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, Director of Radio Television Brunei as the Co-Chairman of the function. Panelists comprised of Doktor Muhammad Hadi bin Mohd Melayong from the Malay Islamic Monarchy Executive Council Secretariat Office; Kamal Leong bin Abdullah, a trained religious teacher from the Islamic Dakwah Centre; and Doctor Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Rahman, President of BCFA. The MIB Forum titled 'MIB sebagai cara hidup bermasayarakat Brunei' was organised by the BCFA with cooperation from Pilihan FM (Mandarin) Radio Television Brunei and the Malay Islamic Monarchy Executive Council Secretariat.
