Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence, as the Chairman of the National Security Committee (JKN), yesterday morning received a courtesy call from Major General Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Toto Siswanto, Expert Staff For Social Culture at the Secretariat General of National Resilience Council (Wantannas) of the Republic of Indonesia. The courtesy call took place at the Tower Block, Ministry of Defence in Bolkiah Garrison.

Major General TNI Toto Siswanto heads a delegation from the Secretariat General of Wantannas for a working visit to Brunei Darussalam. Also present during the courtesy call were Datin Dayang Hajah Elinda binti Haji C.A. Mohammad, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, as Deputy Chairperson of JKN, as well as other members of JKN. The Secretariat General of Wantannas represents a state institution that reports and is answerable directly to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The Secretariat is also responsible for the development of national resilience and the attainment of the Republic's security objectives. The visit marks the first visit of the Secretariat General of Wantannas to Brunei Darussalam with the purpose of establishing bilateral cooperation especially in the energy and security sector with a focus on energy security.
