The Ramadhan Tadarus al-Quran ceremony for the mukim and village consultative councils as well as the delegation from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the departments under it was held yesterday afternoon at the Pekan Seria mosque in the Belait District.

At the ceremony, the Pekan Seria Mosque received endowments for the use of the mosque. Meanwhile, 30 orphans from Mukim Seria received donations. The presentation of the contributions was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs who also led the Ministry of Home Affairs delegation.

The Tadarus Al-Quran ceremony is one of the ministry's efforts to strengthen relations between the ministry and grassroots leadership as well as residents of the mukims and villages in Belait District. The activity is one of the religious activities conducted by the ministry in glorifying mosques in the four districts especially during Ramadhan.
