Three institutions of higher learning in the country collected three thousand and six hundred seventy eight dollars during the charity Varsity Cycle 3.0 on the 4th of March.  University Brunei Darussalam, UBD, University Teknologi Brunei, UTB and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA, presented the contribution to the Community Welfare Council, MKM this morning, to be donated to the needy.

The contribution was handed over by Datin Doctor Dayang Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz, the Vice-Chancellor of UBD, Professor Doctor Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, the Vice-Chancellor of UTB and Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Rector of UNISSA.  The money was presented to Awang Haji Yusof Shaikh Abdul Halim, the President of MKM who said the council's projects included providing meals for breaking the fast to 550 needy people for 10 days as well as donating cakes and biscuits for Hari Raya.
