DPMM FC suffered their worst defeat in all competitions under Steve Kean following a 5-0 capitulation at the hands of Home United FC in the S League at the Bishan Stadium last night.

More importantly the result left them with serious damage of retaining their title who could be 14 points adrift from league leaders Albirex Niigata (S) who currently hold a two-game advantage.

The nightmare in Bishan were evidently DPMM FC's worst league defeat since the 6-2 hammering at home by Tampines Rovers FC in August 2013.

The 'Gegar Gegar' men also succumbed to their fifth defeat of the season, the same number of losses that they recorded when they won the league last year.

The Japanese satellite team can start lengthen their lead over the reigning holders if they see off Geylang International FC tonight.

The visitors were nearly gifted a surprise early lead after Shahrin Saberin's error but goalkeeper Zulfairuz Rudy came to his team-mate aid clearing the ball away before it reached DPMM FC striker Shahrazen Said.

After flirting with disaster, Home United enjoyed a lead as Azhar Sairudin struck in the 9th minute with a wonderful solo goal.

The home side raced to a counterattack but Fads Ramli's shot was pushed away for a corner.

DPMM FC import Rafael Ramazotti seemed certain to score until Home defender Abdil QaiSfyim Mutalib intervened with a brave block.

It was no wonder why DPMM FC head coach Steve Kean was concerned if his charges surrendered possession to a dangerous Home United side which they did as Faris Ramli netted from a devastating counterattacking move.

Home United ran riot as import Ken Ilso made it 3-0 from yet another counterattack before doubling his tally by sliding past goalkeeper Wardun Yussof.

Syahrin Miswan completed the visitors' misery steering home the rebound to condemn DPMM FC's biggest loss in four seasons.
