Various parties in the country continue to hold religious activities to enliven the month of Ramadhan. The Ministry of Religious Affairs, with the cooperation of the Prime Minister's Office and and other ministries yesterday afternoon held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony for Ministries in Conjunction with the National Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration at the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.

Present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Second Minister of Finance.

The mass recital of Al-Fatihah was led by Awang Haji Haris bin Haji Suboh, Senior Religious Officer, Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah and followed with the reading of Surah Ad-Dhuhaa until Surah An-Nas.

The reading of Takhtim was led by teaching staff of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute and Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College. The Doa Khatam was recited by Pengiran Haji Mohd. Norhasib bin Pengiran Haji Bongsu, Teaching Staff of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. Meanwhile the Dikir Marhaban was performed by the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College. The Doa Peliharakan Sultan was recited by Senior Religious Officer, Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.

Also present, Deputy Ministries, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Senior Government Officers.
