His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Alam received in audience and the Junjung Ziarah from the public in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. Yesterday was the second day Istana Nurul Iman is open to the public.

 His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience and the Junjung Ziarah from the male well-wishers. Also in attendance were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah and other members of the Royal Family.

 Among the well-wishers who came in the morning were uniformed personnel namely the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force, the Immigration and National Registration Department, the Royal Customs and Excise Department, the Prisons Department, the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association and civil servants from several ministries and government departments as well as the private sector.

 Meanwhile, at another part of Istana Nurul Iman, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri received in audience and the Junjung Ziarah from the female well-wishers. Also in attendance were Her Majesty's daughters and sisters, Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah; Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna; and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al Islam. Also present were Her Majesty's grandchildren.

 Visiting Istana Nurul Iman to greet Their Majesties during Hari Raya Aidil Fitri is a long-practised tradition towards strengthening relations between the monarch and his subjects.

 In the morning, some 24 thousand 9 hundred and 60 well-wishers went to the Istana for the Hari Raya audience and Junjung Ziarah with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri as well as other members of the Royal family.
