Visit From Nippon Sport Science University Of Japan

A delegation from the Nippon Sport Science University, N.S.S.U, of Japan, is in the sultanate to explore, extend and enhance collaborative efforts with the Paralympic Council of Brunei Darussalam, PCBD. The collaborative efforts aims to strengthen future interactions among para athletes, coaches and officials to contribute for Brunei's participation to 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

 

The visitors were briefed on the present situation and confirmation of movements towards the Paralympic Sports 2020 to PCBD through discussions with the International Paralympic Committee, Japan Paralympic Committee, Japan Sports Agency, and the NSSU. The NSSU will also host a Coaching Workshop towards planning a coaching journey for Paralympic Sports 2020 in July at the N.S.S.U Setagaya Campus by inviting 2 coaches from Brunei. They are Awang Haji Wahid bin Ismail and Awang Azmize bin Abdul Rahman as the program participants.

 

The briefing continued with a signing of minutes of meeting between both sides. Representing the PCBD was its Vice President, Shaikh Mahmud bin Shaikh Haji Ibrahim, while NSSU was represented by Masamitsu ITO, the University's Professor. The signing was witnessed by Awang Haji Rosmadee bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Acting Director of the Youth and Sports Development as the President of PCBD.
