Graduation Ceremony

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, yesterday morning graced the graduation ceremony for Year 6 students of the International School Brunei, ISB who have completed their primary level studies.

 

Also present were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's children, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman who are also students of ISB.

 

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri were greeted by Doctor Steven Paul Geraghty, Executive Principal of ISB and Darren Sibley, Primary Principal of ISB.

 

At the ceremony, 82 Year 6 students received certificates after completing their studies in the junior level.  Among them was Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim.

 

The ceremony was highlighted with video clips presentation.  ISB began its operation in 1964 and is now 54 years old.

 

The year 6 students was a particularly high-performing group in sports, including participation in FOBISIA Games, National Swimming Championships and Football Tournaments which have seen record medal-hauls.  Among the participants was Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim, who holds multiple national age-group records in swimming championships.

 

In his welcoming remarks, Darren Sibley congratulated the students on their success in completing their studies at the school and hope they will continue to be persistent and courageous in order to enhance their knowledge as well as develop their skills to the next level.  The function was highlighted by a performance which was also participated by Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim.

 

The graduation ceremony was an opportunity for the students to thank their teachers and parents whose hard work and tutelage have guided them through Primary school.
