His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 72nd birthday anniversary celebration will take place this Sunday. The ceremony will begin with the Grand Royal Birthday Parade at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital.

Yesterday morning a full rehearsal was held for the parade ceremony. Among those watching the rehearsal were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 72nd birthday celebration and Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Defence. The rehearsal involved the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force and public organisations.
