Thirty seven officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF have been promoted to the next higher rank by the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Defence and Supreme Commander of the RBAF.

Among those present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara AND Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Defence. The promotion ceremony was officiated by Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF.

3 senior officers were promoted to the ranks of Colonel, namely Lieutenant Colonel Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd Kadir; Lieutenant Colonel (Udara) Rahman @ Abdul Rahman bin Haji Durahman and Lieutenant Colonel Haji Mohd Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimau Padang Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin. Meanwhile, 4 officers were promoted to Substantive Lieutenant Colonel or Commander; 6 officers to Acting Lieutenant Colonel or Commander; 6 officers to Substantive Major or Lieutenant Commander, 17 officers were promoted to Substantive Captain or Lieutenant (Royal Brunei Navy) and one Special Commissioned officer was promoted to Captain.
