The Ministry of Home Affairs yesterday afternoon held a doa selamat ceremony for its officers and staff who will be performing the haj this year.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs. The function ran concurrently with the presentation of contributions to the 22 intending pilgrims. Also present were Awang Mohd Amir Hairil bin Awang Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Safety, Welfare and Law; Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut, Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin and Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Metassan, Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
